Over 4 months, my business grew from $0 to $200,000.
This completely put an end to my freelancing struggle..
Oh, and there was this funny day when I ate 349 chicken nuggets at McDonald’s after a marathon week of digital marketing.
Each of these stories was a short elevator pitch:
A quick, catchy intro to grab your attention and share the main idea.
In just a few sentences…
...you got a glimpse of:
Who I am now compared to before
What this newsletter is about
And if it's something that interests you
That's what's cool about a good elevator pitch:
It quickly tells you who I am and what I'm about, giving a chance to connect.
How to use the CRISP Blueprint for Your Elevator Pitch
The finest elevator pitches are brief and... crisp.
Much like my go-to chicken nuggets:
Yet...
Many miss the mark on this.
I just searched for "examples of famous elevator pitches" on Google and got hit with a BIG chunk of text.
I didn't even bother looking at it.
Many folks think an elevator pitch should turn a stranger into a buyer in just 60 seconds.
That's not an elevator pitch.
That's a terrible, long sales pitch.
This mistake is quietly ruining their chances of getting noticed.
Here's the truth: Your elevator pitch should get a stranger interested in a future chat in 60 seconds. I believe everyone has a short attention span, so being brief and catchy is key.
The secret? Make your elevator pitch clear... ...but also make it spark curiosity.
The simplest way to do this? Teach my CRISP framework to ChatGPT.
That's why the CRISP framework is great for crafting elevator pitches:
My CRISP Framework:
C - Compress
Jot down ALL key facets of your background, offerings, and objectives.
R - Relevance
Accentuate 3 captivating features of your ideas and match them with your audience's preferences.
I - Identity
Infuse a dash of uniqueness in your pitch - what sets you apart?
S - Simulation
Rehearse your pitch with a timer set. Stick to a 30-second limit. Record, playback, critique, and polish.
P - Personalize
Tailor the pitch based on whom you're conversing with.
For instance, my Relevance is that I assist business owners in harnessing the potential of AI to boost their ventures.
What’s distinctive about my Identity is my admiration for artificial intelligence, a good slice of pizza, and exploring cool brands.
So, after fine-tuning the elevator pitch, here’s the final cut:
I’m the God of Prompt. I empower business owners to unlock newfound efficiencies with AI, steering them towards what truly counts - scaling profits while indulging in life's pleasures.
What are your thoughts?
Don’t worry - you're not in this alone.
Here's your guide to transforming ChatGPT into your personal elevator pitch mentor:
Make Elevator Pitches Great Again
This mega-prompt helps ChatGPT create good elevator pitches fast & easy, giving you five options to choose from.
⚙️ Just copy this mega-prompt into ChatGPT to use it:
I want you to become a masterful subtle salesman and write an elevator pitch for me.
For context, [INSERT CONTEXT]
The product I want you to create an elevator pitch for is: [INSERT A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PRODUCT]
The goal of an elevator pitch is to subtly introduce yourself and your products in 30-60 seconds.
The secret lies in making the elevator pitch concrete and curiosity-invoking at the same time.
Many entrepreneurs mistakenly think that elevator pitches should convert a stranger into a buyer in 60 seconds.
But that’s extremely hard in 1 minute.
Rather…
The goal of your elevator pitch is to spark a strangers’ interest for a future conversation in 60 seconds.
I want you to keep that in mind while writing that elevator pitch.
To create the elevator pitch, I want you to follow the CRISP method:
C - Compress
Write down ALL primary elements of your background, offerings, and goals.
R - Relevance
Highlight the 3 compelling aspects of your ideas and align them with the audience's interests.
I - Identity
Add a pinch of personality to your pitch - what’s unique about you?
S - Simulation:
Practice the pitch with a timer. No more than 30 seconds allowed. Record yourself, listen, critique, and refine.
____
Now, write 5 elevator pitches for me and my business
Constraints:
1) Each elevator pitch must be shorter than 280 characters
2) Make the elevators short, yet punchy
3) Appeal to the targets' self interest
4) Build curiosity while being ultra-specific
5) Don't sell - just sublty introduce
6) Don't include a CTA
7) All benefits you introduce must be tangible and specific
8) Use the tone of voice of a good friend
9) Use plain, simple language
âť“ How to use the Mega-Prompt:
Provide Your Context: Replace the [INSERT CONTEXT] section with information about yourself. This could include your background, interests, or relevant experiences. If you have completed the AI Audience Accelerator, you can simply type /context to automatically include your pre-written context.
Describe Your Product: In the [INSERT A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PRODUCT] section, briefly explain what your product is about. Be clear and concise.
Example:
Let's say your product is "AI Newsletter Course," a program designed to assist creators in developing an automated newsletter in under two days using AI. Your completed prompt might look like this:
"I am [Your Context]. I am excited to introduce 'The AI Newsletter Course,' a course that enables creators to efficiently build an AI-assisted newsletter in less than 2 days."

With Bay Area Times, you will get graphics like these, so you quickly understand the news without having to read through long and boring paragraphs.
We explain the latest business, finance, and tech news with visuals and data.đź“Š
All in one free newsletter that takes < 5 minutes to read. đź—ž
Save time and become more informed today.👇
Output Example:
This approach could generate a pitch for a course, like: "Learn how to create a $150 Notion course in 2 days with the help of AI, tailored for creators and entrepreneurs."

I end today’s newsletter with a classic meme:
Remember, it’s always better to consult the rubber duck.
Jokes.
Just let ChatGPT do it for you.
