Reading time: 5 minutes

Greetings from above,

It's the God of Prompt here - just making ChatGPT spit out money while I'm still in my pajamas (ok, so let's be real - I'm totally like those movie hackers typing random stuff, but somehow it works)!

Last month I spent 3 days trying to create a decent digital product for my coaching business. The result? A measly 2 sales and way too much coffee.

Then I tried these product creation prompts - boom! Made a course outline and sales page in 4 hours that pulled in over $2000 in its first week.

Today, we'll talk about:

  • Killer prompts that create sellable digital stuff without the headache

  • The "Market Gap Method" most prompt users miss out on

  • A simple challenge to get your product ideas flowing

THIS WEEK'S READER QUESTION

âťť

"Alex, I've got tons of expertise but zero clue how to package it into something people will buy. How can I use ChatGPT to actually make stuff people want?"

Jamie from Seattle

Getting your knowledge out of your head and into a product that sells is a bit like trying to empty the ocean with a spoon.

You know too much, and somehow not enough at the same time.

Most people jump straight to creating a course or ebook, but skip the crucial first step: figuring out if anyone actually wants it.

That's where these prompts come in - they help you think like both a product creator and a customer.

HOW THESE PROMPTS CAN HELP YOUR BUSINESS:

  • Save 80% of your planning time - what took days now takes hours

  • Get real market insights - stop guessing what might sell

  • Build products people actually open their wallets for - no more crickets at launch time

THE DIGITAL PRODUCT PROMPT GOLDMINE

🔥 MARKET VALIDATION PROMPTS

  1. Market Gap Finder:

Act as a market research specialist for [YOUR INDUSTRY]. I need to identify unfilled needs in the market that I could address with a digital product.

1. What are the top 5 pain points people in [YOUR INDUSTRY] express online?
2. Which existing solutions fall short and why?
3. What specific audience segment is most underserved?
4. What would an ideal solution look like for this audience?
5. How might I validate this gap exists before creating a product?

For each pain point, include:
- Actual examples of people expressing this need (format as quotes)
- The emotional impact of this problem
- What they're currently using as a workaround
- How much time/money this problem costs them

What it does: Uncovers actual market needs before you waste time building something nobody wants

   - Their content/marketing strategy

3. Identify 3 specific gaps in the market based on:
   - Underserved customer segments
   - Problems the competitors don't fully solve
   - Price points that aren't being offered
   - Features customers want but can't find

Format this as a strategic analysis with clear recommendations on how I could position a new digital product to fill these gaps.

What it does: Shows exactly how to position your product against what's already out there

Perfect for: Finding your unique angle in a crowded market

2. A simple landing page structure to test signups (what should be on this page?)
3. Three ways to test my core product idea without building the full solution
4. Key metrics that would indicate market interest
5. Red flags that would suggest I should pivot or abandon the idea

My target audience is [DESCRIBE WHO THEY ARE], and I think they struggle with [CURRENT PROBLEM].

PROMPT TIP OF THE WEEK: SPECIFICITY SELLS

Too many people write vague prompts that give generic results.

The trick to getting product ideas that actually sell? Get super specific about WHO your customer is.

Before:

Give me digital product ideas for my fitness business.

After:

Give me digital product ideas for busy working moms in their 30s who have 15-20 pounds to lose but only have 20 minutes a day to exercise and hate diet restrictions. They've tried apps like MyFitnessPal but find them too time-consuming to maintain.

When you get this specific, the product ideas you get back aren't just "another fitness ebook" - they're a solution to a real problem real people have.

This works for any prompt in this newsletter - the more you know about your exact customer, the better your results will be.

Try taking your general idea of your audience and adding 3-5 specific details about their situation, previous attempts, and limitations.

SUMMARY

  • Market research prompts find real gaps you can actually fill (and people will pay for)

  • Product creation prompts save you from the "blank page terror" of starting from scratch

  • Adding customer specifics to your prompts gives you products people actually want
