Recovering god of prompt here,

Even AI deities forget meetings sometimes since nobody gave them a memory layer.

That's not a joke. That's the actual problem most people run into every day. And it's what I'm on the panel for next Thursday at the AI Skills Virtual Conference (free, online, May 14).

Don’t forget it!

Last year I watched a founder spend three hours every morning re-explaining his business to Claude. Same background. Same goals. Same context. Every day. From scratch.

He thought his prompts were bad. So he kept making them longer. More detailed. More specific. Still didn't work.

His prompts were fine. His setup was broken.

The second he built a proper memory structure, everything changed. Three hours became thirty seconds. His AI stopped acting like a stranger and started actually knowing him.

That's what context engineering really is. Not fancier prompts. A smarter system around your prompts.

Today I'm going to show you the three things most people get wrong with AI memory. And I'm giving you the exact prompts to fix each one today.

🎙 I'M GOING DEEPER ON THIS TOPIC LIVE — MAY 14

I'm joining the panel on Context Engineering and Agentic Memory at the AI Skills Virtual Conference on May 14. Free. Online. One day.

We're going into how to build AI workflows that hold memory across tasks, how this actually works inside real businesses, and what separates the people getting serious results from everyone else still fighting with the tool.

The rest of the lineup is seriously mindblowing.

Paige Bailey from DeepMind. Frantz Lohier from AWS. Stuart Clark from Spotify. Sandro Gelashvili from Google. Andrey Skripkin and Dhrupad Sethi from Meta. Tanya Roosta from AMD. Pearl Pullan from Samsung. Martin Slaney from Bolt. Ankur Khare from SAP. David Campbell from Scale AI. JD Armada from Elastic. Thirty speakers total.

Not people who talk about AI. People who build with it every day inside the biggest companies in the world.

In six months some people in your field are going to be way ahead. Not because they're smarter. Because they showed up to the right things and made small changes that added up. That gap is opening right now. This is one of those moments where you either show up or you don't.

It's free. It's one Thursday. Come for my panel. Stay for the rest. You'll walk away with things you can use the same week.

🎯 WHY YOUR AI KEEPS STARTING OVER

Every time you open a new chat, your AI has no idea who you are. It doesn't know your business. It doesn't know what you decided last week. It doesn't know what matters to you.

You're meeting a brilliant stranger every single morning and introducing yourself from zero every time.

Here's what actually fixes it.

📚 FIX 1: GIVE YOUR AI A PERMANENT IDENTITY FILE

Write a short doc about yourself once and load it into every session. In Claude you can drop it into a Project so it's always there automatically. Your AI now knows who it's working with before you type a single word.

Think of it like onboarding a new hire. You wouldn't bring someone in and tell them nothing about the company. Don't do that to your AI either.

Use this prompt to build your identity file right now:

💡 Prompt — Build Your AI Identity File

I need you to help me build a personal identity file I can use at the start of every AI session.

Ask me questions one at a time about:
- Who I am and what I do
- Who my audience is
- My current goals and projects
- My tone and communication style
- Things I never want you to do or say
- Tools and platforms I use

After each answer, ask the next question. Once you have everything, write it up as a clean one-page brief I can paste into any new chat.

Start with the first question now.

📚 FIX 2: STOP WRITING LONGER PROMPTS

When people want better output they write more. Longer prompts. More instructions. More detail crammed into one block.

That usually makes things worse. When everything is in one long message your AI can't tell what actually matters most.

The fix is to think in three layers. Who you are goes first. What this session is about goes second. The specific task you need right now goes third.

That structure alone will beat any long messy prompt you've ever written.

Use this to instantly restructure any prompt that isn't working.

💡 Prompt — Fix Any Prompt That Isn't Working

I'm going to give you a prompt I've been using that isn't giving me great results. I need you to restructure it into three clear layers:

Layer 1 — Who I am and the context you need
Layer 2 — What this specific session is about
Layer 3 — The exact task I need you to do right now

Keep everything in plain language. Don't add anything I didn't tell you. Just reorganize what's there so it's clear and layered.

Here's my prompt: [PASTE YOUR PROMPT HERE]

📚 FIX 3: END EVERY SESSION WITH A MEMORY SUMMARY

Before you close any important chat, ask your AI to write a quick summary of what happened. What got decided. Where things are heading. What's still open.

Save it. Paste it at the start of your next session.

That's it. You just gave your AI real carry-over memory. You never have to repeat yourself again.

💡 Prompt — End of Session Memory Summary

Before we finish this session, write me a short memory summary I can use to start our next chat.

Include:
- What we were working on
- Key decisions we made
- The direction we're heading
- Any open questions or next steps
- Anything important I told you about myself or my business

Keep it short. No more than half a page. I'm going to paste this at the top of our next conversation so you pick up exactly where we left off.

Do all three of these this week. Your AI will feel like a completely different tool. Not because it changed. Because you stopped making it start over every single time.

🛍 ONE MORE THING — THE SHOP IS BACK

If you haven't seen yet — the God of Prompt shop is back, rebuilt from the ground up after the hardest week this business has ever had.

📋 QUICK RECAP

Build an identity file so your AI knows who it's working with from the start. Use three layers instead of one long prompt so it knows what actually matters. End every session with a memory summary so the next one picks up right where you left off.

Three prompts. You can do all of this today.

Thanks for being part of this community. And looking forward to seeing you at the AI Skills Conference! - https://conf.cosprints.ai?31

Keep building systems,

🔑 Robert from God of Prompt

P.S. Which of the three fixes are you trying first? Hit reply and tell me. And if you want a full deep dive on agentic memory in a future edition, just say the word.
